Money makes the world go around?

Don't you love it when science just shatters conventional thinking? Similar to a previous TEDtalk, but with the addition of fun illustrations.

You are what you carry

If you've ever wondered how the contents of someone's bag would relate to what they look like: Persona

Here are some of my favourites directly off the gallery.

A yellow gameboy. Wow.

Ear worms/Boots

New albums, back to back release dates, from my two favourite artists.

-Wait for the chaotic change. It pays to be patient!

-Blue-sy, good old rock and roll.

Winter's slowly creeping in. Still it's been rather nice, weather-wise. Leaves are crunchy. Orange, yellow, red and every other crazy shade of autumn. Appropriately, I'm thinking of investing in a pair of sturdy, good-looking boots for winter. I'm secretly hoping each week that I'll score a handsome pair at the local opshop. Wishful thinking!

Handsome 60s

Some aesthetically pleasing and amazingly immaculate photos from "A Single Man".

Even cigarette lighting is ridiculously stylish

A movie worth watching more than once. One of those things you get slightly different meanings from each time you watch it again. Besides, it's pretty to look at.

Maternal instincts

There are actually two days in a year to celebrate Motherhood.

The first is celebrated by the general masses. I.e. Today/second Sunday of May (Well, at least for New Zealand and Malaysia, which are the two countries relevant to myself).

The second day falls on your birthday. Make sense doesn't it?

Barber talk

'Round About Midnight With Josh Peskowitz from Jake Davis.

What struck a chord:

"It's a barber, so it's a little more personal. The dude is definitely taking a straight razor to your neck. There's an amount of trust that goes there."

"If it did right for my pops and if it did right for my grandfather, then it's good enough for me."

"Style is based on classic principles. Things that definitely are known to work, and how you then apply those principles to yourself and your own unique individual spin. Sometimes people get worn by clothes instead of wearing clothes."

"...doing what feels right yourself. Style is an extension of how you carry yourself."

There's certainly something raw and edgy about a barber shop. I might just hit the barber for my next hair visit.
